Default Black and white ink map

    Hello everyone!
So I was working on this little comission over the holidays and I'd like to take the opportunity and share the result with you. =)

The request was for a small black and white map with decorative illustrations. There are not a lot of details (like roads or cities), just names for the major kingdoms.
But I think that's understandable, considering the print size is going to be rather small.

Hope you like it & let me hear what you think!

Really nice work! I like the smoothness of the lineart - that should print beautifully.

Lovely job on this Mat! Great clean linework and lovely illustrations. Gotta love that Cthulu-esque sea monster.

I really like the map, the lines aren't too noisy and really gives a proper feeling!

I might suggest to reorganize the illustrations though: for once, the waves of the sea serpent aren't perfectly horizontal, and more in general it seems to me that there are a bit too many, somehow in random positions. But it's mostly a mix of personal taste and OCD, i guess.

    Really clean results otherwise!

Quite nice Mat, really like the illustrations, especially the sunken ship.

The map looks great Mat! I like the illustrations and the map works very well, even though it shows very little information such as cities, roads etc. Great job!

Oh my, what a lovely piece! I love how smooth the mountains and trees look. The illustrations are wonderful, and I really love your compass rose. It's simple, yet elegant. My only nit would be the wavelines/whatever those rings around the coastlines are called; I think they look a touch too digital compared to the otherwise soft, hand-drawn feel of the map. It is a very minor flaw, though.

    Nice work all and all!

Very attractive map, and beautifully drawn. Kinda wish there was more information on it, despite the client's wishes, but too bad. Love the illustrations and linework.
