Hey,
I'm working on my world map, but I want advice on how to make these coastlines look more realistic. I know good techniques to make these coastlines rougher; I even know how to apply said techniques differently to different parts of the map. I have the tools; I just don't really know how to apply them.
My overall goal is to get my coastlines looking like they could be those of a real Earth-like planet, with similar size, climate, temperature, sea level, etc. I'd like some guidelines to help me get closer to that goal. Any ideas?

It might help if we could see what you're working on. Did you mean to attach an image?
I can only see the image in the thread comment. It doesn't respond to clicking.
Is that because its a png, and not a jpg?

I see no image at all. Zippo. Nada. Zilch.
edit, the next day: ...and of course now I can see it.

Erm...I already said I knew the techniques, and how to modify them to get the results I want; what I want is advice on how exactly I should modify my coastlines to improve my map. Like, should I make Coastline A rougher and smoother, should northern coasts be rougher than western coasts, etc.
