Hi All,

I'm new to this forum, and also to map making. I'm a long time Photoshop & GIMP user, along with a lot of other software. Here to learn what I can so I can try and make a map for my wife's D&D home-brew campaign. Maybe even to come up with a map for a book I wrote (no plans to publish).

Hi Peejosity and welcome to the Guild. If you're completely new to map-making, have a browse through the Tutorials area (if you haven't already) and try a couple and see how you go. You'll probably learn a lot from working through some tutorials and you can take those skills further on your own. It helps a lot that you're already familiar with Photoshop/Gimp. You'll pick up map-making basics pretty quickly, I should think.

Once you've got something to show us, feel free to start a thread. If you need help with anything, just ask.
