April 2017 Challenge: Fashions Made Sacred, Europe
Some of you all may have seen the map I made in the Regional/World forum a while ago of North America - my entry for this challenge will be a map of Europe in the same universe. Rest assured that it is being made from scratch, basemap and all - this does make me uncertain about whether I'll be able to make the deadline, but with the relative lack of coursework over the next week, I should be able to make it.
If you've seen the map linked above, you'll know what to expect - political geography with insets showing religion and legislative representation. Without further ado:

Is there a particular reason you have spelled Romania the way that you have? I know it is sometimes spelt that way, but its a lot more common in 'English speaking' maps to spell it with just the 'o'. Its not wrong - just really quite unusual
This is a work I'm doing for an author over on AH.com, so I'm going off his notes more or less entirely. That said, French is still the most prestigious international language in this world, so it's likely that the French spelling was simply copied over into English.Originally Posted by Mouse

Hmmm... I think there might be something wrong with my browser. I'm getting nothing for AH.com except a care company, which I'm not sure is what you were talking about?

In French it's Roumanie. In Romanian it's România and in English it has been Romania for quite some time now.

alternatehistory.com. Sorry I wasn't more specific, I keep forgetting how insular of a place it is.
A decent bit of expansion accomplished today - it's basically only Russia left to do for the actual basemap. I've also managed to get some colour added.
