Help Rivers and Mountains of F'lor

Hello all, I'm currently working on a map for my story game and as the title says I need help understanding where to place my mountains and rivers. As you can see I've used the red to show where I want to place my mountain ranges and the black lines going from the coast inland represent my rivers.

I working an antique style map in Gimp. Also, i want to ask if there was any way to manipulate gimp to place my lakes as well.

    Any Help would be appreciated.

    Hello JTBF

I see you are having a go at mapping with GIMP now.

From what I can see you seem to be doing pretty well with the mountains and rivers all by yourself already, although it is just a tiny bit hard to see from such a tiny picture. They appear to follow all the usual rules - flowing downhill away from the mountains to the ocean, and so on.

Lakes - are just a matter of picking a place where you think there might be a lake, and drawing one. Generally they may have several streams running into them, but they don't normally have more than one outlet - that outlet being at the lowest point on the rim of the lake

You seem to be doing fine
