A nerd with no art skill trying to learn from the masters!

Hi! I've been a DM in D&D for ages, and I've been working on a campaign for likely 6-8 years on and off, I have a lot of sketched maps, but I want to make them digital, like most of my work is moving to. I've been looking up tutorials and learning this map-making fun and hopefully I'll be able to make something worthwhile for my players. There are some cool resources here and good people, so I think It's time for me to drop in!

When you're ready to share your work, feel free to start a thread in one of the work-in-progress folders, so that you can get advice as you develop your map. It sounds like you've already found the Tutorials area, and I hope that's useful to you, but if you need help with something specific, just ask.

Looking forward to seeing some of your maps. Don't be shy about sharing your sketches either. It's always nice to see hand-drawn maps.

I second that. Drawn sketches are definitely nice to see. And take it from someone, who once had extreme difficulty to draw anything, it is a good place to start. The rest is just perseverance in learning the tips of the trade. I am looking forward to seeing your sketches. And just as a side note... respect in being a DM, I wouldn't even know where to start.
