I don't see why not, I've actually been following you're posts on this wip and find it really interesting to see the process unfolding so quickly, allot of people only post big updates, but I like this being able to see more of the steps which go into making a map. I've found the threads that I learn the most from are the ones that update constantly as they progress. I like the colours you're using, and I'm curious what programme are you using to make this? the land shapes are really interesting.

I copied vooporiah color scheme i love his maps!
    im using photoshop
im painting it all by hand
i have found a weird method where I use layers and a wet brush "drippy water" #9 at different sizes
it lets me get semi random shapes from each, and I gave each layer a stroke to define the edges
i also have an underlayer under the land with a outer glow to mimic what V has done in his maps.

this is part of a larger project idea theme that ive been working on for a while
the small blow up island will eventually be a map of its own the island will be the site of a new colony of humans to this world
the world itself is primordial with no plants on the actual land masses, and the oceans are mostly microscopic life
the maps and story idea will be how humans transform this world

i reeely wish i could use wilbur properly to weather the terrain
but im actually going in by hand and making them look kinda like real mountains would look i think i like this style but would loooooove to put in style similar to yours kacey
im going to eventually be putting other data into it similar to V maps, and real atlases
    ps
this scale is 1"= 10 miles or one grid
    1:633.600 on the scale thingie
this makes the large island (with its smaller islands) roughly the size of new jersey the total land mass in area would roughly be slightly more than new jersey

side by side comparison to show my workflow

    comparison.jpg

the basic idea is i rough out the shapes then go in and refine them and get the feel for how the land wants to be
i still have quite a bit on this section to do you can tell as the parts that still need work are slightly blobby
