    Map Isle of Ban

Here's a map I've made according the rules of the lite challenge of Oct / Nov 17 "Map an Island"

I took one of the proposed shapes, tried to respect the scale given and finised on time... The map was not on the real challenge, as I'm not allowed to participate to lite challenges... But I was inspired by one of the shape and wanted to explore more the "marine chart" style... and I needed to do some maps...

So here's "The Isle of Ban" :

I was wondering why I haven't seen the map in the poll. Otherwise I would have voted for it.
    Beau travail !

Splendid map, Jo! It would have been a very strong contender.
It just look like a true nautical chart map to me, so yes, a true cartographer's work, no doubt .

Fantastic! Your knowledge of nautical navigational information far surpasses my own. My hat is off to you sir.

Oh yes, I love that technical stuff! Lovely choice of colors, too, I am impressed
The only part that confuses me a bit, to be honest, are the upside down bits below the top border. It looks like upside down hills in the water. Can you explain?

Thanks a lot ! I couldn’t be part of the challenge because I have a golden compass... and you can’t be part of a lite challenge if you have one of those... I should have paid more attention when I enlisted the challenge last December...
Thanks again for your support !
