Very nice work!
Hi all,
This is a map that I started a few months ago as a small personal project and some hand-drawing practice. I'm very pleased with the results so far, but would love to hear what other people think.
Unfortunately I don't have access to a scanner so this photo will have to suffice for the time being.
When I do get it scanned, it'll be coloured, shaded and annotated in Photoshop.
Oh, and if anyone is interested: the drawing took me 28 hours in total, stretched out over a couple of months.

The map is breathtaking ! You managed to get relief in black and white (even zoomed in !!!) and it's no easy feat. Do you have a copy shop near your house ? Xerox machines (not the brand, the general type) now have pretty good scanning options (even 600 dpi sometimes). That could be the way to go because, man, I really wanna see this beast colored and shaded !
I'm speech less.
Beautiful work, Wingshaw! Get thee to a scanner/copy shop now!!

Hurry up with the scanning, damn it!

Thanks for the praise, everyone. I'm really really keen to get this scanned and coloured, but I'm going to deliberately put it off until I get some other projects finished first. Right now, though, I'm already feeling the itch to start drawing another city map. Must...resist...

Super nice map!
You've got a nice effect - I'm expecting you're using these ink pens up there? Because they seem better for mapping than microns... I'm wondering. if you've used both, which one would you say is best? (for mapping)
