Default The Civilized Realms and the Near Wilderness

This is my January 2018 Challenge entry (under a different name: The Great Railroad). It shows part of a continent that has suffered not only ecological collapse in it's past, but also a terrible civil war which tore apart the main Empire that use to dominate this part of the world. Technology level is around late 19th century, but so infused with sorcery that its sometimes not easy to draw a parallel with our world's counterparts. A good example is the Railmen's Guild and their locomotives. They are a fusion of steam tech and magic; one of the main components of the engine is a thing called an Urn, which can take anything fed into it and turn it into fuel. Without the Urn, the engine can be run with back-up coal reserves, etc., but much more inefficiently.

Awesome work, D! Glad my little coastlines thing was useful! Needless to say the colors kick major ass.

As always, I get the impression to feel and grasp the world your depicting with this map. You have a knack to get them alive, somehow.
I love the color palette and a lot of ideas both for the story and map elements itself. A great Diamond map!
