Abstract cloth map

There's no real story behind this - I was just playing around with some ideas in my workshop thread - but after some help from Thomas I think it deserves a "finished map" thread!

The idea was to use stylistic abstract patterns for land features.

Interesting approach.
It reminds me of the prehistoric "maps" carved in stone from Valcamonica in my native Italy.

I'd love to see you develop this concept further.

Was a joy to see this from initial WIP to completion. I wasn't a fan of your initial concept at first, but it definately grew on me. Great job!

Thanks! It's certainly a different kind of thing than I've done before, and working through the Photoshop really popped it into something cool. I learned some new tricks and techniques putting it together.
