Sept / Oct '18 Lite Challenge: Grounds of Hogwarts

So I don't usually draw buildings. Decided to give myself a challenge and draw Hogwarts. I started with the castle but I'll be doing the entire grounds. The castle is really rough right now. I want it to feel like Hogwarts without copying the castle from the movies. I'm pretty happy with the direction this is moving so far. Hope I have time to finish it. Can't wait to see everyone's entries!

Thanks guys! I'm really excited to keep working on this one. Planning out what fun details I can add (mermaid or squid in the lake?). Also trying to remember important things from the books, but also trying not to look up too many movie references. I kind of want this to be it's own thing.

I'm still working on the layout. And I'm not happy with the wall just yet. I might extend the lake and move the boathouse closer to the edge of the map. But I am having a lot of fun with this.

This looks great! I really love how you made Hogwart's itself detailed but are focusing more on the grounds. The grounds play such an integral part of the story. I agree with the idea of extending the lake and moving the boathouse closer to the edge.
