I found myself at school today with a lot of time to spare, and on a whim I decided to jump in on this month's Lite Challenge. Behold the beautiful sketch that is surely worthy of a Silver Compass as it is:

I hope me adding some tiny islands around the mainland doesn't count as altering the shoreline too much...

Huly's Rest is the home island of the coastal elves of the Huly tribes, who sail this freezing ocean in their small boats hunting seals and revering the magnificent beasts that lurk in the depths of the Giant's Cradle Ocean.

I like the exaggerated mountains. That one in the middle is like a neon sign the says "ADVENTURE AWAITS"

Oh good to know about the islands! I will soon post my entrie for the challenge and a few extra islands will be present for sure.

And speaking of islands, i really liked that southeast archipelago, Kellerica.

Thanks, guys. The mountains won't be that huge in the finished product, they were pretty much just placeholders in the sketch version. Here's where I'm at now: added some texture and started the search for the colors, plus some lineart work.

Well, I only joined in yesterday, so I guess that makes it easy to miss it Thanks for watching, I'll do my best!

The final update for the day: finished the sea decorations, started on the forests and added a placeholder for the frame.
