    Default Atlas Orbis et Alviae

Hi, I'm Impesio end a some of you know me already.
I decided to post here the precise mapping of a fantasy world of mine: Imperium Alvianum.

From now on when I'll post a map on this site I'll update this thread too.

I want to make a clarification: even if it seem every maps is a maps in itself, the project is a unique large map with all the regions of the Alvian Empire. The scale and other fancy labels will be added when the map will be complete.

    Critics are welcome.

This was my initial map (Imperium Alvianum, VI century f.A.):

This is an evolution of the provinces of the Alvian Empire (960 f.A.):

These are the maps I completed at this point:

From now on I'll be uploading new maps here.
And yes, the continent is an inspiration of a real continent, yet it is very different.

Nice! I was gone for a while, but has some good tutorial for these kind of elevation maps pop up? I though before only Vorro does this kind of maps frequently, now I see them so often. The rivers are rad, how you did them?

I do not know any particular tutorial. Even If I am a patron supporter of Vorro since 1,5 years, my style is more inspired from other artists and I know for sure that when I published my first map (Pebahan) not many were using Illustrator to do fantasy maps, excluding the ones that make real cartography and hystorical maps on deviantart.

To be sincere my elevation style is very lacking, in comparison to others i saw here.

And for sure, Vorro has become very popular in recenti times. I see his color palette in many maps now

I don't think the rivers have anything special beside the fact that they are tapered

You probably got disconnected while writing your message. So the images were not uploaded correctly.

The solution is to select the remember me option before login in.
