    Default Hello map makers!

Hi all! Finally getting around to posting an introduction. I’ve been really enjoying the forums here, all the fantastic work, shared knowledge, and overall super supportive & enthusiastic community!

I’m arriving here from the land of GIS. The land of coordinate systems, the land of data, of 32-bit precision, and so, so many crashes. It’s where maps are made everyday, seemingly in the millions. In batch, by machine, and nearly always with only the merest flicker of a soul. How can personality persist through one-thousand levels of default? There are some who have broken through. But for the rest of us, Is this what mapping has become? Is this the only way?

Here to explore new approaches (to un-learn, what I have learned), and to map creatively! Maybe work towards the the better of both worlds. Also a fan of myths, legends, sci-fi and fantasy tales

Looking forward to learning and sharing more!
