Wip WIP City for my story

I finished the first draft of the novel I'm writing, and decided to map the city. It's nice to jump back into cartography again! Been way too long. This will be the largest city map I've ever drawn, so any critiques or tips would be appreciated! I'm using manga studio and trying to rough out the placement of some important things before I jump into filling in the rest of the city.
    Thanks for taking a look!

City maps always take a long time, I wish you like with this journey you just started! I think you already have a really nice start.

The sketch looks very promising already. I look forward to seeing this develop.

Putting the market on a large bridge is really neat. Good idea also with the slums in the low areas at the river mouth.
