April 2020 Challenge: Castle of Pappenheim and Cloister

Allright i realy live in the Town Pappenheim in Germany. So wie have a Castle and a old Cloister. Both a in Privat Hand, the Castle you can Visit but not the Cloister so i have to gues by Satelite Pictures and the Walls i see. I Cut away most of the city and think for this Challenge about a Castle that protect the Cloister and may be a treasure? So will ad some secret places.
Interesting Part at the Castle it has two Areas contectet by a bridge.

Hills are tough maybe look at some of Larb's or J. Edwards, they both do a nice job. I think a lot has to do with shadowing and a few lines. Here's how I handled one.

Tryed differnt styles with the hills. Did some Wathercolor.

I like it, too. The one thing I might suggest if you do something like this again is to use a ruler to pencil in some (faint, erasable) lines to guide you to keep your labels straight.

I've always felt such an admiration for you folks who use your hands instead of digital tools. I may -sigh- go back to pen and paper some day. Would love to.

This came out great. I love the watercolor style and the colors themselves are fantastic.
I also really like the crest/helm on the left there.
