Default ***January 2021 Challenge Voting - Here Be Dragons***

This month's challenge was to create a map which was themed around dragons. Turns out dragons are popular because we had quite the turnout. Now it's time for you to decide amongst the many worthy entries, which map(s) will take home the prize. Voting booths shall be open for 3 days after which the winner(s) will receive a shiny new digital golden compass. And be sure to spread around the love by repping our challengers.

What a challenge! People really stepped up for this one, so I have to say well done to everyone who participated. I thought it was faintly ridiculous to vote for all of the finished ones, so I limited myself to about half :p

Some really great entries this month.

I managed to slightly screw up my voting, and missed one that I mean to vote for *facepalms* Ah well, good luck to everyone!

I love the way we all arrived with something so different on the same theme... I think dragons are a powerful source of inspiration !

Been looking at these and looking at these. So very tough to choose. Gotta think on this a bit more. Too many false starts on mine. Get one element looking the way I envisioned it, bit the next element just wouldn't dial in, so I never got a real grove going. Still trying though, along with trying to figure out where my votes are going.

Well done PainPerdu, this is a really good example that a black and white pen and paper map can win a gold compass challenge where most often people are using very expensive software. I thought this map was not only very creative with the river like scales but also very well executed with the pen.
