February 2021 Challenge: Torwelten
Some time has passed since I last joined into a mapping challenge here.
Our Space-Opera-Setting "Torwelten" is having a star map I did some years ago which is very flat and in dire need of some major overhaul ...

I hope this challenge prompts me to invest a few hours into that map ...

Hi man. I do enjoy a good star map.
Anyway, just wanted to bring up a reminder that you click the WIP tag in your post, so that the image scraper picks up your map for the challenge.

All stars have been placed at their former location and also been distributed along the z-axis.
Next step will be adding the gate connections

Testing some influence / colony size markers
And the gate connections are placed (will need some work)

Map overview.
Added different star types.
Added several hundred 'numbered stars' which fill the void.
May have to change up some of the gate connections.
Currently thinking about label style and what to label.
Also pondering how to mark colonies and areas of influence.
For scale: Grid spacing is 1000 light years
