Default Novarïe - Fantasy Hex Map

Hi, all. I recently had a chance to get back into map-making, which was an old hobby of mine.

I was able to knock out this project, a fantasy world I created several years ago for a D&D campaign that never really got off the ground. The world is called "Novarïe."

Sadly, I'm not much of an artist, so I'm limited to messing around with hex maps. This one was created in Worldographer.

I'd gladly welcome any feedback. I know the font can be kind of hard to read; I was trying to use something with a fitting fantasy feeling, but I think I was struggling with that. If anyone has any font recommendations, I'm open to them. (Not sure if they'll be compatible with Worldographer, but it's worth a shot!)

(Final note: I know Teratefa is a desert situated between a temperate and a tropical band. In Novarïe, the wet temperate winds blow west-to-east several miles above Teratefa. Teratefa is situated in the band where the wet tropical winds blow east-to-west, but the high mountains on its eastern side block those winds.)

EDIT: Updated with legible font and corrected/updated place names. Thanks again to Redrobes for the recommendations. I'm pleased with how this one turned out.

That is indeed one super florid font you have there. I think if the app takes fonts then most of them should be compatible as there are only a couple of font formats and the most popular by far is the true type font or ttf file.

You can usually go to any of the font websites and download one to use. Its best to make sure that the font license is compatible for your needs - i.e. only use fonts that are free and open to use if you want to make publishable material out of them. Usually you download the font and install it and then it appears in the list of fonts an app can use. But I have not used this Worldographer to know where it gets its font list from.

I haven't downloaded fonts for a while but I recall dafont was a good one as it allowed filtering by license and style.

Hey, thanks, Redrobes! Dafont sounds like a great resource. I'll dig around over there and see what I can come up with.

    Appreciate the advice!

Updated below with a more legible font. Dafont was perfect!
