    Default Introduction

    Hi,

I'm Chad, a gamer, dad, and all around happy geek. I love maps, and am trying to get good at making them. I used to struggle through with Campaign Cartographer but have found Wonderdraft to be much easier to use.

Most of my maps are either for fun or for RPGs (mainly D&D because that's what I got my kids into, although I prefer games with lower power differential over the course of play). I signed on here in part because I'm taking on a bigger project to create a large (table-sized) map for a Quest at my business, Boda Borg Boston, and am pretty sure I'm going to need some help and wisdom from people with more experience. (Not least, I'm unsure what settings to use to make a map that will look good at a scale like 5' by 4'.)

I play all sorts of games except for video -- not that I have anything against video games, but I know if I got into them I would likely never be heard from again...and I suspect/hope that my wife would miss me.
