Hi,
I was using the very good tutorial from RobA (Using GIMP to Create an Artistic Regional RPG Map) to build a map for a region I want to roleplay in.
I came up with this:

I fought a lot with a couple of steps and some I improvised, others I skipped. There are some things that could have worked better, but overall I'm quite satisfied
Thanks to RobA (I never thought that possible in such a small time)!

Thanks a lot.
Looks good! If you plan on doing another, I'd suggest working with a bigger canvas, and search for the felImage noise plugin as it produces nicer results (especially for forest) than the built in noise that has those diagonal artifacts.

Thanks RobA, excatly the forest texture hurt a lot.
This won't certainly be my last map. Maybe I go back and try the new noise on the forests.
